Alla Popova
Alla Vilnow is a London based abstract expressionist artist whose work sits at the intersection of emotional expression and architectural thinking.
Her canvases are intuitive and colour-driven, shaped by emotion, memory and a lifelong interest in the spiritual dimension of human experience. She does not paint to explain. She paints to open something up, in the work and in the person standing in front of it. Each painting is personal in its making and open in its meaning, inviting the viewer to bring their own experience and find what resonates.
That expressive freedom is grounded in a deep understanding of space and form. Alla trained at Central Saint Martins, completed a BA in Interior and Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Art and Design, a Master’s in Advanced Architectural Studies at UCL and an MA in Computer Imaging in Architecture at the University of Westminster. That structural thinking quietly underpins everything she makes the balance, the composition, the way each work holds together.
Her paintings are available for collectors who are looking for work that stays with them.
“A beautiful experience. The way the colours move on the canvas creates a quiet space for personal reflection.”

“Her paintings don’t just sit on the wall; they open up a dialogue. I find something new in the piece every single day.”
